Why Ekran exists

Ekran was born from a simple frustration: watching a cluttered laptop screen hold back productivity while traveling. As digital nomads ourselves, we knew there had to be a better way to work on the move without compromise. So we built it.

Traditional portable monitors felt bulky, plasticky, built for occasional use rather than with the intention of creating a real portable workspace wherever you are in the world. We wanted something different: a sleek portable monitor you'd actually want to carry every day, one that doesn't take up your entire bag, and that feels as premium as the work you're doing.

What we make

The name Ekran comes from the Slavic word for screen. We make two portable monitors, both powered by a single USB-C cable: the 14-inch Ekran Lite for everyday extra screen space, and the 16-inch 4K Ekran Pro for colour-critical and detail-heavy work. Every Ekran is crafted from aircraft-grade metal, engineered to be thin and light without sacrificing durability or visual quality, and covered by our Lifetime Guarantee.

Who we are

Ekran was founded in 2025 by Jason and Ivan and is based in London. It's a founder-led brand: every decision from design to customer support is guided by people who use these monitors every day. We're traveller's, builders, and relentless perfectionists who happen to make portable displays.
